The photo's sharpness and focus is what truly captures the fierce and animistic details of the cat's eye. The focal point of the eye is what draws the viewer in, brining about a sense of immediacy and striking fear. I feel, although the fur was not captured in great detail that it is not necessarily as the movement and lines of the iris are what create the sense of depth and shape in the eye itself. The imbalance of the cat's straight pupil brings forth the emotional feeling of danger, contrasting with the bright yellow of the iris.
This photo is striking and wonderfully emotively detailed.
